Private Joseph Cecil Bailey was a 28 year old single farrier of Gilgandra when he enlised on the 4th May 1917. He embarked on the ‘Nestor’ on the 21 Nov 1917 and served on the Western front before he died of wounds on the 23 Aug 1918.
